Or maybe you're a parent watching your daughter slowly lose confidence, become withdrawn, or speak about herself in ways that break your heart, and you are not sure how to help.
When you live in a world that constantly comments on women’s bodies and worth, it makes sense that you feel this way. The pressure can be relentless, and the comparison never really switches off. But underneath it all there is often one painful belief... I'm not good enough.
Whether you’re living this yourself or watching your daughter struggle, I offer a space where we can untangle these patterns and help confidence grow from the inside out

Building Confidence From the Inside Out

You don’t need to change how you look or who you are to feel better. Together, we begin by gently exploring the beliefs you’ve carried about yourself, like comparisons, self-criticism and the pressure to be more. Therapy becomes a space for you to understand your anxiety rather than blame it, to respond to yourself with more compassion, and to build a sense of worth that isn’t tied to appearance or achievement.

Meet Your Therapist

I’m Alex, a therapist based in Ormskirk. I do this work because I know how heavy it feels to live in constant comparison and how powerful it is to build confidence from the inside out. I have extensive experience working with women and girls across charities, schools/colleges and in private practice.

Ways To Work With Me

I offer face-to-face therapy in Ormskirk on Mondays and Tuesdays, alongside online sessions across the UK.

We can begin with a free 20 minute phone or video consultation, so you can ask questions and see if it feels like the right fit for you. 

You Don’t Have to Keep Coping Alone

It’s easy to minimise what you’re feeling or tell yourself you should just 'cope with it'. But if something feels heavy or difficult for you right now, that’s reason enough and you deserve support.
